About

Meet Mari

I work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, eating disorders, sexuality, relationship concerns, life transitions, and the challenges that come with being human. My approach is integrative and individualized, drawing from evidence-based therapies while remaining grounded in curiosity, collaboration, and the unique needs of each person I work with. My background includes a degree in Exercise and Sports Sciences from the University of Florida and a Master's in Clinical Social Work from Florida International University. Over the years, I have worked in a variety of settings including schools, community agencies, treatment centers, and private practice, experiences that continue to inform my work today. SEX THERAPY As a Certified Sex Therapist, I support individuals navigating concerns related to sexual health, desire, arousal, sexual functioning, intimacy, and relationships. I am also an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist committed to providing an inclusive and supportive space for exploration, healing, and growth. INTEGRATIVE CARE In addition to traditional psychotherapy, I am trained as a Yoga Therapy Teacher and Children's Yoga Teacher and may incorporate mindfulness and yoga-based practices for clients who are interested in a more mind-body approach. Certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), I integrate evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and other integrative approaches to create individualized treatment plans that support each client's unique goals and needs. FLORIDA QUALIFIED SUPERVISOR As a Florida Qualified Supervisor, I provide collaborative clinical supervision for Registered Clinical Social Worker Interns and Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns pursuing licensure in Florida. My supervision style is relational, reflective, and growth-oriented, with an emphasis on building clinical confidence and supporting the development of an authentic clinical voice. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and encouraging space for curiosity, learning, and professional growth while honoring each supervisee's unique strengths and professional goals. PROFESSIONAL LEADERSHIP & EDUCATION In addition to my clinical work, I enjoy providing education and training on topics including eating disorders, mindfulness, stress management, health and wellness, and yoga therapy. As Vice President of the Tampa chapter of the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (iaedp), I am committed to supporting education, collaboration, and professional development within the Tampa Bay community.
